Libby is a free app where you can borrow ebooks, digital audiobooks, and magazines from PPLD. You can stream items with a wireless Internet connection (Wi-Fi) or mobile data, or download them for offline use and read anytime, anywhere. All you need to get started is a PPLD library card.
Hoopla provides access to tens of thousands of eBook titles. Browse, search, and checkout titles through the Hoopla website or mobile app, then stream the titles on the website or download to the app.
Freading provides access to thousands of always available eBook titles. Download the Freading app to use on your mobile device or Adobe Digital Editions to read on your computer.
Gale Virtual Reference Library provides electronic access to hundreds of reference books. You will need a PPLD library card number that starts with a 4 and PIN to access.
Indie Author Project from Bilbioboard offers a way for readers to discover new, local authors, and a way for local authors share their works with the library.
WHAT IS BIG LIBRARY READ?
Big Library Read (BLR), facilitated by OverDrive, is a reading program through your library that connects readers around the world with the same ebook at the same time without any wait lists or holds. This program begins July 13 and lasts through July 27, 2023.
