This presentation will explain the value of automating the patron side of the collection. It will detail the progressive use of automation devices in the collection to find errant books. The Pikes Peak Library District in Partnership with Urban Peak of Colorado Springs brought the National Safe Place network to Colorado in December of 2017. This presentation will give you an overview of what Urban Peak of Colorado Springs does, and what the National Safe Place network is as well as what work went behind bringing the National Safe Place network to Colorado. Studio staff will be there to show you how everything works, what equipment and software is available at 21C and to answer any philosophical questions you may have.
