Husqvarna Viking Opal 650/670

The Husqvarna Viking® Opal™ 650/670 is a computerized sewing machine with 160-200 stitch styles, featuring an automatic needle threader, speed control, automatic tacking stitch, presser foot pressure regulation, needle up/down positioning, a built-in free arm, 8" sewing surface, seven (7) accessory feet, and the exclusive SEWING ADVISOR® feature. This robust machine is a great tool for those familiar with computerized sewing machines, or those looking for a broad range of stitch styles.

PPLD provides two different models of the Husqvarna Viking® Opal™: 650 and 670. The primary differences between the machines includes expanded built-in stitches, an automatic thread cutter, touch screen LCD, and automatic thread tension adjustment, which are all unique features of the 670 model.   • Acceptable fabrics: thin, medium weight, stretch, and some thick fabrics (such as corduroy, tweed, or thin denim)

Availability

The Husqvarna Viking® Opal™ 670 is available at East Library.

Sewing Machines are available by reservation at all makerspace locations. Reservations are for 1 to 4 hours, up to 2 times a month. They can be made up to one week in advance. Walk-ins are permitted - even if both reservations have already been used - however, usage of the machine cannot be guaranteed. See the link at the bottom of this box to reserve one of the sewing machines.
