
Jewelry making can take many forms and utilize a variety of materials. One easy way to get started in jewelry making is by beading. Beading simply entails threading or stringing beads and charms onto a piece of thread, wire, cord, or elastic.
Some basic tools you will need to get started in beading are:
- Jewelry pliers
- Wire cutters
- A jewelry mat or piece of felt
- Jump rings, clasps, and / or crimp beads to connect and secure everything together
- Beading wire
- Beads
- Reading glasses or a magnifying glass for working with small items
- A ruler or measuring tape
