The CNC is now available through reservation at Library 21c during Make II Open Hours. Reservations are for 1 to 4 hours, up to 2 times a month. They can be made up to one week in advance. Walk-ins are permitted - even if both reservations have already been used - however, usage of the machine cannot be guaranteed. See the link at the bottom of this box to reserve the CNC.

In order to use the CNC you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Complete the badging process
  • Minors must have a signed Creative Space Use Agreement on file.
  • Adults must accept the Creative Space Use Agreement terms when making a reservation.

What you will need:

  • You will need to create or find your designs. Acceptable file types include: *.svg, *.ai, *.png, *.jpg, *.dxf. Other file types may work, but PPLD cannot guarantee compatibility with the software.

PPLD will provide:

  • PPLD will provide all of the router bits. Please talk to a staff member if you need specialized bits.
  • Access to VCarve Pro, the software needed to create toolpaths.
  • Screws and clamps.
  • Drills and screwdrivers.

There is no cost for using the machine. The maximum size for materials is 24" x 18" x 2.5".
