Inside Out Youth ServicesInside Out builds access, equity, and power with LGBTQIA2+ young people, ages 13-24 in the Tava (Pikes Peak) region. We have a community center where LGBTQIA2+ young people can make friends and learn life skills, and we provide education in our communities to create safe spaces throughout the region.
Volunteers could participate in the following ways.
Programs Volunteers join young people at the IOYS community center to provide intergenerational connection, a listening ear, and assist in the facilitation of programs.
Outreach Volunteers assist the outreach department in spreading the word by hosting a table at community events where folks can learn about our work, ask questions, and sign up to join our community.
Digital Volunteers join the virtual community center on a secure Discord Server. Here, they talk with young folks, guide them toward appropriate resources, and facilitate digital programming. This position can be fully remote.
Fundraising Volunteers make thank-you phone calls to major donors, write thank-you cards, assist in data entry and collection, and participate in fundraising phone drives to connect with past donors.
Minimum age requirement is 25.
