Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging
The Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging helps Older Adults in the Colorado Springs region stay living safely and independently in their own homes. We connect individuals and caregivers with trusted resources, benefits counseling, and supportive services. Through programs like our Outdoor Chore Program, Information & Assistance phone support, and Family Caregiver Support, we make aging in place safer, easier, and more supported.
Outdoor Chore Program – Volunteer Opportunity
The Outdoor Chore Program pairs volunteers with Older Adults who need help with seasonal tasks like raking leaves, shoveling snow, and light yard cleanup. These short, meaningful visits help keep walkways safe, prevent falls, and support aging in place. Volunteers can sign up individually or as small groups as needs arise throughout the year.
Information & Assistance (I&A) Line – Volunteer Opportunity
Information & Assistance volunteers help answer calls from Older Adults and caregivers who are looking for resources, guidance, and community supports. Training is provided, and volunteers learn how to navigate local services while offering a warm, reassuring first point of contact. It’s a great fit for anyone who enjoys connecting with people and providing helpful information by phone.
Family Caregiver Support – Volunteer Opportunity
Family Caregiver Support volunteers assist caregivers of Older Adults by offering connection, encouragement, and resource guidance. This role helps caregivers feel seen, supported, and less alone as they navigate the challenges of caring for a loved one. Volunteers in this program help strengthen families and expand the safety net for Older Adults in our community.
Minimum age requirement is 18.
