This guide is intended as a starting place for finding information covering fine arts and art history within our collection at Pikes Peak Library District. Art research encompasses the study of painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, design, graphic arts, and intersects other subjects such as geography, anthropology, and mass media. Use the tabs on the left to locate frequently recommended resources.
As a public institution dedicated to free expression and free access to ideas representing all points of view concerning the problems and issues of our time, the Pikes Peak Library District provides exhibit and display space for individuals and groups. In order to enrich patrons' library experience, exhibits of paintings, photographs, sculpture, and other artworks, as well as displays of crafts, are encouraged for civic, cultural, educational, and recreational purposes. Space is made available on an equitable basis to qualified individuals or groups. The next date of Call For Art will be announced through the library.
The PPLD Art Evaluation Committee is responsible for selecting art exhibits for all PPLD locations. Click on one of the following links for more information and criteria.
