In response to the death of George Floyd and ensuing news coverage, Pikes Peak Library District has curated a list of resources for our community. In 1993, Clarence and Peggy Shivers, working in concert with PPLD, created the Shivers Fund at PPLD to expand the Shivers African American Historical and Cultural Collection, to promote the arts through concerts, and to expand educational opportunities for our young people to encourage tolerance and diversity.
