Library Resources

Are you looking to prepare your manuscript for publishing? Most publishers and distributors accept print-ready pdf or ePub files. To self-publish, or use library resources, you may need to format your manuscript as an ePub file. Please check submission guidelines before preparing and formatting your manuscript.

PPLD has resources to help you prepare your manuscript, including:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe InDesign
    Industry-standard software to create your print-ready or ePub files with page-by-page view. Available at Library 21c, East Library, and Sand Creek Library.
  • Calibre
    Free open-source software compatible with most operating systems to create your files with page- by-page view. Available for download on your own device such as a computer.
  • LinkedIn Learning
    Formerly Lynda.com, LinkedIn Learning offers online video tutorials to help you learn software, creative, and business skills.
  • Writing Resources
    Starting place for finding writing resources within our collection at Pikes Peak Library District, including self-publishing, marketing, and writing practice resources.
