The Pikes Peak SBDC is proud to host the 2025 Childcare Providers Summit on Saturday, June 21st from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at COS City Hub.
This summit is designed to empower childcare professionals across the Pikes Peak region and greater Colorado with tools, strategies, and inspiration to strengthen their businesses and support working families.

A FREE event for business owners to connect with local resources – government agencies, nonprofits, chambers, and other organizations that provide services to business owners.
The ACHIEVE committee is very pleased to offer the Business Resource Fair. The ACHIEVE committee is a group of professionals who represent over 15 organizations that provide free or low-cost resources to business owners. This incredible collaboration of professionals is working to better the landscape of supportive services to entrepreneurs by collaboration, education and intention. Their goal is to provide awareness and access to the great services available in our region that help business owners better navigate taking advantage of services that are right for them.
In 2024, there were over 140 attendees and included over 40 vendors with business breakout sessions, engaging introductions by our MC’s, and great prize giveaways! Anyone who is a business owner will find some value attending this great event!

We are excited to announce that applications for the XI Survive & Thrive: Accelerate COS – Small Business Loan program will be opening on April 28th! Survive & Thrive applications are open April 28th - May 30th, 2025. El Paso County-based small business entities, non-profits, and sole proprietors with at least 6 months of operating revenue, no more than 50 full-time employees and less than $2 million in annual recurring revenue are eligible to apply. Some of the businesses that we have helped with this program include restaurants (Red Gravy), breweries (Goat Patch), technology-driven firms (TerraFerma), home care (Cultivate House Detailing), hospitality (Buffalo Lodge), just to name a few.
To help entrepreneurs with their applications and any questions we will be hosting Survive & Thrive Application Assistance Sessions starting April 29th! Gain insights into the application process and expectations, get guided application assistance, and learn more about the program.

Now in its fourth year, Comcast RISE has awarded 13,500 small businesses over $125 million in monetary, marketing, and technology grants.
Beginning on May 1, and through May 31, eligible businesses in El Paso County and Pueblo County can apply for a grant package at www.ComcastRISE.com. A total of 100 grants in Southern Colorado, and 500 grants overall, will be announced in August 2024, bringing the total number of recipients to date to 14,000.

The Colorado legislature created the Enterprise Zone (EZ) Program to encourage development in economically distressed areas of the state. The 16 designated enterprise zones have high unemployment rates, low per capita income, or slow population growth.
