A guide with tips and trips on how to produce a video, from the pre-production process to the editing phase.

Location Scouting

Location scouting is a vital process in the pre-production stage of filmmaking and commercial photography. Once scriptwriters, producers, or directors have decided what kind of general scenery they require for the various parts of their work that are being shot outside of the studio, the search for a suitable location begins. Location scouts also look for spectacular or interesting places beforehand in order to have a database of locations for requests.

Below is a link that better describes the process of scouting locations for a particular video shoot. Additionally, we have provided a printable location scouting sheet to help you better organize all the essential information needed prior to your shoot.
