Local Authors Database

Are you a local author? We recommend that you join our listing of authors within the Pikes Peak Region. The database is used by both the public and library district when looking for a speaker on a particular topic, or author of interest. Click on the link below to check it out.

Showcase Author

If you are interested in being a Showcase Author at one of our events, then please fill out the application form below. 

The due date for applying to be a Showcase Author is February 23, 2018.  Accepted authors will be notified via email by March 8, 2018.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant to community needs and interests
  • Favorable attention to critics, reviewers, and the public
  • Reputation/qualifications of author, artist, publisher, or producer without regard to political, religious, or other affiliations
  • Date of most recent publication should be within the last 3 years
  • Artistic merit, literary value, or recognized award recipient
  • Local or national significance
  • Permanence or timeliness of published works
  • Quality of presentation in relation to content and audience
  • Legal, licensing, or copyright issues
  • Representation of various cultures, viewpoints, and interests
  • Self published/subsidy published works must be reviewed by established publications
